YOUTH SPORTS & FITNESS
At the Y, our sports staff, coaches and volunteers all share a singular vision of helping all youth reach their full potential in life. We leverage the excitement and passion around recreational and competitive programming to create a healthy outlet for children to gain new skills, develop a sense of team and connect with positive role models.
Martial Arts classes develop strength, balance, flexibility, and self-defense skills in a fun and supportive environment that emphasizes character development and self-discipline. With classes for beginners to advanced, martial arts is a fun way for both boys and girls to achieve fitness and focus. Participation in martial arts may improve listening skills and increase self-esteem as it provides opportunity to learn how to set and achieve goals, while interacting with others. Monthly sessions offered.
Ages: 5 – 12 years
Preschool Soccer builds healthy kids and offers one of the best ways for a child to develop athletic, social and interpersonal skills. Children will gain confidence that comes from learning to play or building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork. Sessions offered monthly. Classes are held indoors.
Ages: 3 – 5 years
Youth Fitness Club
This class is for athletes that want to improve their strength, speed, and agility or for kids that just want to have fun and be active. Designed for all fitness and skill levels by our passionate, experienced, and knowledgeable fitness professionals, youth fitness club is a dynamic and fun and training experience!
Ages: 6 – 12 years
Zumba® Kids classes feature kid-friendly routines based on original Zumba® choreography. We break down the steps, add games, activities and cultural exploration elements into the class structure.
